CLAUDIA ZAHN

Claudia is the Co-Producing Director of Malibu Playhouse. She trained as an actor and director at Carnegie-Mellon University School of Drama (BFA) and Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts (MFA). She also studied in the NYU Certificate program in Arts Administration. From 1998 to 2008, she was an associate professor and director of the opera and music theatre department at the University of Washington School of Music in Seattle. Claudia has also directed and taught at Florida State, Queens College in NYC and the North Carolina School of the Arts. Her freelance directing work includes productions at companies such as: New York City Opera; Fort Worth Opera; Hawaii Opera Theatre; Rutgers Theater Company, NJ; Village Theatre, Issaquah, WA; the Annas Bay Festival, WA; the Caramoor International Music Festival, NY; Seattle Civic Light Opera and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig, Germany.

RICK D. WASSERMAN

Rick is the other Co-Producing Director of Malibu Playhouse and director of its Acting Conservatory. Rick recently taught acting/improv to 24 lawyers at the LA District Attorney’s office in a workshop he co-wrote called PERFORMING LAW. Last season, Rick played Harry in FLIM FLAM: Houdini and the Hereafter at the Playhouse. Other LA favorites include Harold Pinter’s Betrayal at The Matrix Theatre and The Last Days of Judas Iscariot as Sigmund Freud at The Black Dahlia. Rick is best known as the 10-year signature voice of AMC Network and for voicing Thor and Hulk for Marvel animation projects. He can also be heard as various bad guys on popular video games such as GOD OF WAR III, STARCRAFT II and the BATMAN ARKHAM series. He made his Broadway debut in The Lion King which he also performed at L.A.’s Pantages Theatre. Favorite television credits include recurring roles on 24 (FOX), The District (CBS), plus guest-starring roles on House (Fox), Burn Notice (USA), Without A Trace (CBS), and Las Vegas (NBC). Rick lives in Monte Nido with his lovely wife, Tamara, his two beautiful sons, Max and Sam, and his faithful pup, Bowie.
